By building to order, i.e. only when orders have been received from our business partners for sales campaigns, we ensure that the required quantity of devices is produced. This means we have no inventory costs - a saving that we pass on to you. Structuring production in this way also guarantees that MEDION products are always up-to-date.
Focusing on core competences

In terms of product groups, MEDION has three main focuses:

    * PC/multimedia (e.g. personal computers, notebooks, TFT screens, scanners, printers, software, etc.)
    * Entertainment and home electronics (e.g. TVs, flat screen monitors and plasma screens, DVD players and recorders, hard disk recorders, etc.)
    * Communications technology (incl. SAT systems, decoders, telephones, fax machines, answering machines)

MEDION’s marketing and range of services encompasses the entire value chain involved in the retailing process. For sales campaigns, MEDION devises products that are oriented around market and customer requirements, tests the response to products, advises retail companies on technical features, draws up product and packaging designs, sees to it that production facilities are of a high quality and cost-effective, and provides appropriate quality and logistics management. Comprehensive aftersales support for consumers completes the range of services.
The importance of customer service

For MEDION, a key element of the overall service package is offering a direct aftersales service to consumers on behalf of retail companies and manufacturers. Open 365 days a year, customers can call our help desk for advice on using products, warranty claims and reordering. Specialists at MEDION intimately acquaint themselves with products’ technical features before they are launched and train the hotline team. MEDION carries out necessary repairs and for specific products within Germany will, if required, authorise a local service provider chosen by the consumer to give advice or perform repairs.
Growth in Germany and abroad

Initially, MEDION’s activities were concentrated mainly on the German market where it enjoys a double-digit share of certain product segments. For some years now, the company has also successfully applied its business model to markets elsewhere. To start with, the focus was on Western Europe but now Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America are becoming increasingly important.
